Francis Blackwell Forbes, the son of John Murray Forbes and a member the Forbes family, was a clergyman. He was the great-grandson and great-granddaughter of Rev. They had three children: William Howell Forbes (1837-1896), Henry De Courcy Forbes (1949-1920), Paul Revere Forbes (1936-1936). The family owned and operated several businesses in New York City and abroad.
