Spot's prices are higher than the norm for young pets

Spot's coverage does not depend on pre-existing conditions
Spot's coverage covers pre-existing conditions. This is a departure from most pet insurance plans. However, some health conditions are excluded from the policy. The policy doesn't cover dental disease or hip dysplasia as well as intervertebral disk diseases and other hereditary conditions. Dental and orthodontic procedures as well expenses related to daycare and boarding are some other exclusions. Cosmetic procedures and bilateral conditions are not covered by the insurance.
Spot's preexisting condition policy does not cover treatment for arthritis. The company defines a pre-existing condition as any medical condition that existed before the plan was issued. Unless the condition has been cured, insurance companies will not cover arthritis treatment. Although there is no age limit for this policy, customers must pay a deductible at least $2,500 to cover any vet expenses.
